Channellock tools are well made and dependable. I have some that are every bit of 50 years old and still do the job. I just ordered three new additions (326,E318,E388) to my tool box because...well,I didn't have them. My only complaint is how long it took to get them. Local sources didn't carry what I wanted so I resorted to ordering from Channellock directly. That was a first for me. It was 3 weeks from order to shipping notification. No back order or delay notifications, no communication. Just dead air. Then a week in transit. Four weeks total. Good thing I wasn't in a hurry.
These pliers hold up just fine. The body and jaws are heavier than the 317. These pliers will bash knockouts just fine and cut 4 10ga wires at once easily. The price for the heavier jaws is they won't fit in places the model 317 will.
All the channellock products I have are well made and appear to be of good quality . I would buy these again without issue.
