The CHANNELLOCK® OF-1 2-Piece Oil Filter/PVC Pliers Set combines the strength and reliability of our iconic Tongue and Groove Pliers with the special needs of PVC and oil filters. The 212 has a jaw capacity of 2-1/2 to 3-3/4 In. The 209 has a jaw capacity of 1-3/4 to 3 In. These pliers remove stubborn oil filters from cars, trucks, motorcycles, ATVs and lawn and garden equipment. CHANNELLOCK® Oil filter/PVC Pliers are made in USA and forged from high carbon steel that is specially coated for ultimate rust prevention.

In my earlier years, I spent a couple years using these exact tools working in a busy big city lube shop changing oil in customer cars. In a professional lube shop, these were used daily. However, on rare occasions I've ran into situations on my personal vehicles and family member vehicles I was performing an oil change on that I wished I had a set of these, so recently purchased them to have for the next scenario where i wished I had a set. So far I haven't had to use them on a vehicle during an oil change, but I have used them on several occasions for hard to open pasta jars. Seriously, they work fantastic for a jar opener!
