Junk

Pliers don't open properly. And the bar falls off the handle every time you open them

Rough Adjusting Screw

I may have gotten a "bad" one, but out of the box, these were the hardest-to-adjust locking pliers I've ever encountered. It was actually painful to turn the knurled adjusting bolt. I wound up running a tap down the internal threads of the tool, and a die over the bolt (the ever popular M11x1.5 size!). The tap cleared away a significant quantity of metal (weld spatter?) and lots of paint, and the die also cleared some metal and paint. The adjuster worked much better after that, but still not super smooth. Build quality on the rest of the pliers seems good, but Channellock (or Grip-On, who likely made these) needs better quality control on the adjuster.

Does the job

I needed theese to loosen a stripped nut on out water heater. They were a little small for what I needed them for but they still did the job. I'll probably go back and get the 10inchers as well. The pliers seemed to be of good quality and gripped the nut without slipping. Good buy!
