I’ve been satisfied with the quality of many Channellock products but disappointed in this one. I really liked the 10 inch wide azz manufactured in Spain with very good finish and craftsmanship. I thought this one would be the same but it had nicks and scratches and poor machining. Thinking that maybe I just received a bad one I went to a local store and looked at one. It was the same.
Another quality hand tool from channellock . Minimal play in gear and stays tight during use.
I had high hopes for wrench since it is made in Spain. The jaw and thumb adjustment is too loose. The metal seems to be too soft as well. Moderate pressure causes deformation on the face of the working surface.
Hey Channellock, how ignorant do you have to be to put China in the description when it's from Spain?
the 12 inch feels very light which kinda worried me made me question the durability. i have put it to quite a lot of use but only for the last month. I used it against a 18 inch rigid pipe wrench to tackle a real bad bolt and it worked. its very comfortable and easy to use. I needed the extra wide mouth. It's now an important part of my tool bag have been using it a lot. It feels so good to use like such a really well made tool. Definitely the best one Ive ever used. It was a bit expensive but glad i got it. the jaw opens and closes so flawlessly and displays inches and mm. as a professional it is worth it for my situation having to get big bolts off in very tight places. It is designed better for tight spaces and believe me every little bit helps. its exactly what i needed and was looking for.
