The CHANNELLOCK® 86 9" Rescue Tool pries open windows and doors, cuts wires and cables easily, shuts off gas safety valves and loosens hose couplings. The new design of the 86 incorporates our innovative XLT™ joint, which requires considerably less force to cut than traditional high leverage designs, as well as the spring and lock feature allowing for easy one-hand operation in high-stress situations. Solidly built
While dissecting a car during an investigation, I borrowed this rescue too from a firefighter. I used it so much that day, I invested in purchasing a set. I’ve since used it on multiple occasions. The quality is great and has multiple uses other than its design.
Bought this specifically for my firefighting job and has came in handy. You can control utilities, peel and peak under plastic pillars while extricating, cut battery cables ect. Good product.
