Not a good tool for solid rod.

Product arrived repackaged and clearly will not function as advertised without excessive force. This might be okay for braided cable or stranded wire but I bought it to cut 1/8" rod and there is no way it will work for that. I didn't even try.

Terrible cable cutters

Worst channel lock product I have ever owned, suprised normally they make the best of everything. This ones a miss for me tho.

Expensive but worth it

These aren't cheap but you get quality cable cutters. I hade no problems cutting bike cable housing and stainless cables.

Won't cut cable

These are no good for cutting Gripple cable. They were ruined in a week. I normally love Channellock tools, but these are pretty useless.
