This is a review of the Channellock's Code Blue 8 piece Pliers set w/roll-up. First the set I purchased from Amazon Warehouse was purchased as used and at a significantly reduced price and as such I am pleased. All pliers are U.S. made .1. These are excellent examples of Channellock's pliers line. Code blue is Channellock's up graded line with an upgraded handle Grips comparable to the two component cushioned grips found on Knipex and NWS.2. Other than the handles these pliers appear to be identical to Channellock's excellent XLT "blue" hot-dipped grip pliers made with high carbon C1080 steel. If there is a difference I would be interested. With the exception of 358CB end cutting pliers all are well Machined and balanced .3. The exception is the End cutting pliers which are noticeably rougher and appear to not have been finished to the same quality with the cutting edge pitted and marred. This appears to be the reason the set was returned. I will contact Channellock and see about a replacement.4. Overall this is a great puchase and I can recommend this pliers set.
Excellent set in function and finish. Replacing many well used 35 year old ones that I'm sending to the barn for continued use.
