Locks securely, my foot. Save your fingers, save your money, and keep on shopping. If I made something this poorly, I'd go live in the mountains in shame.
Very good quality but very expensive and too bulky!
These pliers have very aggressive cross hatching on the jaws, and are very bitey. You have to be careful what you grab with them because they can damage softer metals. Great pliers if you don't want something to slip. Handles are comfortable too. The button is a little rougher operating than some other pliers I've used but that's no deal breaker
