The CHANNELLOCK® OF-1 2-Piece Oil Filter/PVC Pliers Set combines the strength and reliability of our iconic Tongue and Groove Pliers with the special needs of PVC and oil filters. The 212 has a jaw capacity of 2-1/2 to 3-3/4 In. The 215 has a jaw capacity of 2-1/2 to 4-1/2 in. These pliers remove stubborn oil filters from cars, trucks, motorcycles, ATVs and lawn and garden equipment. The only reason I'm giving a 1 star rating is because the pliers I ordered were lost by the USPS ... Supposedly, I will be sent a replacement (currently working on that with Channellock) ... However, if I could make a recommendation to Channellock, please ship heavy items in something more substantial than a lightly padded paper envelope ... I mean, the shipping envelope I received was shredded (no wonder the pliers fell out) ... So, I blame the USPS less for losing my pliers than I blame Channellock for using too light an envelope ... Otherwise, Channellock pliers are the best ... Very high quality ... Hopefully, I'll get that replacement soon ...
Best filter pliers, use them daily on heavy machinery and 85% of the time with those i can remove what i need if not i use a strap or a chain wrench.
Works good to get those difficult large filters and sediment bowls off.
These are designed well and built to last.
I like this set of oil filters pliers because it is sturdy. This set includes a 12 inches and a 15.5 inches oil filters pliers. The longest one is helpful for taking off and installing the oil filter. It fit for most cars. Reason I bought this set because it has a permalock fastener at the joint. It eliminates nut and bolt from falling out. Also, I like this set because it MADE IN USA. I also like that there are grooves for adjusting from narrow to wide opening. I highly recommend this type of plier! It is the BEST. Give it a try and you won't regret it.
