Water Distribution Tech's Best Friend

I work for a municipal water system doing distribution work. Bought these bad boys to keep on my truck for popping the covers out of Gate Boxes. The first time I used them to open a gate box, I knelt down and cried manly tears of euphoria. All my life I spent using grandpa's old rusty screwdriver, half a broken crowbar, a particularly long lag bolt, chisels... so many chisels... and literally anything else I could scavenge or find in a toolbox to try and pry these damn gate boxes open. You know the ones, compacted by the force of 1,000 16 wheelers and Thor's hammer itself into the ground, rusted to their cast iron prison of a top section by an unholy force. These pry bars are like the Excalibur of water distribution, and I get to carry two of them. They open the most stubborn gate boxes as if they were a spatula flipping a pancake slathered in melted butter. It's empowering to say the least. They also do everything else a pry bar should do (Pry things). They also have an ever so convenient bashing cap on the butt of the handle, which bashes stuff. Very cool.In conclusion:My greatest fears used to be death, monsters in the dark, nuclear Holocaust, the unknown. Today, my greatest fear is reaching for my pry bars and finding that some bastard coworker has stolen my treasured implements.TLDR; Buy these, you won't regret it.

Good prybar for the money

They have large, solid, plastic type handles with a striking cap on the end. Good size for engine bay or under-body work. Made with a decent carbon steel. They have a black oxide coating over the whole shaft. Check the prying tip on receiving, I had to lightly file a tiny lip on the edge of it, not bad. I've got the entire set now except for one. I'll be coming back for it too.

Not that long.

Not so long at 7”” but it’s strong. Shank is not round but kinda like hexagon.. good for tight places.

This 12" pry bar is build like a tank!

This 12" pry bar is build like a tank! It seems very sturdy and the flared blade is nicely forged and ground unlike many slightly cheaper pry bars. I haven't used it yet, but I expect it to hold up well. It's well worth the $15 I paid for it.

Doesn't do everything. Apparently

This thing is tough! I crank on just about anything with this! I tried and tried but I couldn't get this one fellow we have out of the Boss's ass. He too far up in it. No saving him now. This tool was our best shot at getting him out. But we know now he's gone forever.
